Pulaski County is divided into 12 Civil Townships as follows: Beaver, Cass,
Franklin, Harrison, Indian Creek, Jefferson, Monroe, Rich Grove, Salem,
Tippecanoe, Van Buren and White Post.

Pulaski County began its official existence May 6, 1840.

Winamac is the County Seat. The town was selected for this honor on May 6,
1839 and is named in honor of Winamac of the Pottawatomies, who lived at
this place.

of our county if they resided here on or before December 31, 1840.
