rthur E. Ford was born 1911 in Carroll County Kentucky
and moved with his family to Indianapolis in 1915. After growing to maturity
in Marion County, he moved his wife, Wilma Wood Ford, and his Daughter Carolyn
to Morgantown. They owned Ford's Hardware from 1948 to 1956, when he sold
it to a family named Thompson. He then became the head of maintenance for
Morgantown School System (Ninevah-Hensley-Jackson now). Before he retired
in 1977, he renovated the new administration building for the NHJ Schools
(now the Trafalgar City Bldg.) Mr. Ford died in 2001 in Johnson Co. at the
home of his Daughter Carolyn Witt.
