oseph Lambert Bayard, Sr., a banker, was born in Vincennes, Indiana on January 21, 1840 and began as a clerk of the Vincennes branch bank of the State of Indiana in 1858. He assisted in the organization of the German Banking Co., which was succeeded by the First National Bank of which he was Cashier and President since 1898. He was President of the Citizens Gas Co., Treasurer of the Board of Trade since its organization and Treasurer and a trustee of Vincennes University. Mr. Bayard is a resident of Vincennes, Indiana.
