udge Joseph H. Shea was born in Lexington, Indiana, on July 24, 1863 and graduated from Indiana University in 1889. He began the practice of law in Scottsburg, Indiana, was Prosecuting Attorney for Scott, Jennings and Ripley counties in 1891, elected State Senator in 1896, elected Circuit Judge for Scott and Jackson counties in 1906, elected Judge of the Appellate Court in 1912 and is a resident of Seymour, Indiana.
