| Winchester, Indiana History Print |

Winchester
is the county seat of Randolph County, which is adjacent to Ohio in east
central Indiana. European settlers reportedly first reached the area in 1814.
The county was formally created in 1818 out of the northern portion of Wayne
County, but the present boundaries were not established until 1824. The county
seat was established at the Town of Winchester in 1818 and in 1893 Winchester
was reorganized as a city. Unless
otherwise noted, the postcard images all date from around
1910.
