Info.

The Forsythe Mill Covered Bridge crosses the Big Flat Rock River in Rush County. This single span Burr Arch Truss structure has a length of 186 feet, or 198 feet including the 6-foot overhang at each end, with a portal clearance 16 feet wide by 15 feet 6 inches high. Built in 1888 by Emmet L. Kennedy, the Forsythe Mill Covered Bridge is name for Asa Forsythe who was the owner of the nearby Hungerford Mill from 1870 to 1884. Visitors may remember that before the Will Roth True-Circular Barn was lost it could be seen from this old covered bridge.  Though no historical marker is present this structure was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1983 and was listed in the 1972 World Guide as #14-70-04 ... in the February 1938 "Indiana History Bulletin" Robert B. Yule and Richard C. Smith assigned the designation "kn" to this Covered Timber Bridge located in Section 4, Township 12 North, and Range 9 East, 2-1/2 miles northeast of Moscow.
