The Rolling Stone Covered Bridge crosses Big Walnut Creek in Section 6, Township 15 North, and Range 3 West, just northeast of Bainbridge, Putnam County. This single span Burr Arch Truss structure has a length of 103 feet, or 123 feet including the 10-foot overhang at each end, is 16 feet wide and 13 feet high. Built in 1915 by Joseph A. Britton, the Rolling Stone Covered bridge derived its name from for a large boulder near the structure that would actually roll around by the action of the water; considered a hazard to the bridge, the stone had to be broken up with dynamite. The Rolling Stone Covered Bridge was listed in the 1972 World Guide as #14-67-04.
