HANGMAN'S COVERED BRIDGE

The Hangman's Covered Bridge is no longer standing … it crossed a dry portion of Lost Creek in Sections 13 and 18, Township 2 North, Ranges West and 1 East, Orange County. This Multiple King Post Truss structure was built in about 1841; although it appears to have been a single span construction, it had an additional center pier as well as a ramp on one end. The Hangman's Covered Bridge was listed as #14-59-01 in the World Guide (according to G. Gould's 1977 list) and lost in 1921.
