BROOKLYN COVERED BRIDGE

The Brooklyn Covered Bridge is no longer standing it crossed Lick Creek in Section 25, Township 13 North, and Range 1 East, Morgan County. This single span Howe Truss structure had a length of 160 feet, or 172 feet including the 6-foot overhang at each end, with a portal clearance 14 feet wide by 14 feet high. Built in 1876, the Brooklyn Covered Bridge was listed as #14-55-01 in the World Guide (according to G. Gould's 1977 list) and lost in 1948.
