Info.

The Harshbarger Covered Bridge is no longer standing … it crossed Big Raccoon, just east of Raccoon in Montgomery County. This single span Howe Truss structure had a length of 152 feet, or 170 feet including the 9-foot overhang at each end, with a portal clearance 16 feet wide by 12 feet high. Built in 1900 by Joseph J. Daniels, this bridge was lost in 1967 and was #14-15-02 on the World Guide ... in the February 1941 "Indiana History Bulletin" Robert B. Yule and Richard C. Smith assigned the designation "pr-c" to this Covered Timber Bridge located between Sections 34 and 3, Townships 17 and 16 North, Range 4 West, about 2 miles east of Parkersburg.
