This map was extracted from the 1969 publication "Covered Bridges of Indiana," and was prepared by the Indiana State Highway Commission, Office of Highway Development, Long Range Planning Section. The Orange Dot represents the actual position of a covered bridge in 2002 while the Purple Dot indicate the location of a bridge that is no longer standing.

Original Location of the Irishman Bridge -- On this particular Vigo County map, a Purple Dot approximately marks a point where Highway 46 crosses Honey Creek. I believe this is the original location of the Irishman Covered Bridge which was on Ferree Road before being relocated to Fowler Park. Any feedback or information about this bridge would be appreciated.
