Info.

The Snow Hill Covered Bridge, also known as Johnson's Fork Covered Bridge, crosses Johnson's Fork in Section 26, Township 8 North, Range 1 West, on County Road 950 East at Snow Hill Road north of Rockdale, Franklin County. This single span Howe Truss structure has a length of 72 feet, or 82 feet including the 5-foot overhang at each end, with a portal clearance 14 feet wide by 13 feet 6 inches high. Built in 1894 by William Butts and John Horn, the Snow Hill Covered Bridge was named for a local family. Though no historical marker is present, the structure was added to the National Register of Historic Places and is in the process of being restored with Farrar and Garvey, of Indianapolis, as the Engineering Firm. A Transportation Enhancement Grant was awarded in 2000 for $416,000 and a Federal Grant for Covered Bridges of $100,000 was received that same year. This bridge was listed as #14-24-09 in the 1972 World Guide.
