Info.

The Longwood Covered Bridge originally crossed Williams Creek on County Road 400 northeast of Glenwood, in Section 19, Township 14 North, and Range 12 East, Fayette County. In 1984 the bridge was moved to Robert's Park in Section 13, Township 14 North, Range 12 East, Connersville, Fayette County. This single span structure is unique in that it has two kingposts 10 feet apart (as in a Queenpost arrangement), has five panels each side of the center and the usual Burr Arch. The Longwood Covered Bridge has a length of 92 feet, or 108 feet including the 8-foot overhang at each end, with a portal clearance 16 feet wide by 13 feet 6 inches high. Built by the Kennedy Brothers in 1884, the Longwood Covered Bridge received its name because of its original location just west of the Longwood Station of the B&O Railroad. Added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1898, this bridge was listed as #14-21-01 in the 1972 World Guide).
