The
Longnecker Covered Bridge is no longer standing
it crossed the Whitewater
River, probably near where it meets Logan Creek, in Section 5, Township 7
North and Range 1 West, Dearborn County. This 300-foot long Burr Arch Truss
structure was built by Archibald M. Kennedy & sons in 1874 and was said
to have lattice-covered windows. The Longnecker Covered Bridge was listed
in the World Guide (according to G. Gould's 1977 list) as #14-15-03 and it
was washed out during the flood of 1913.
