The Milltown Covered Bridge is no longer standing … it crossed the Big Blue River in Section 15, Township 2 South, and Range 2 East, between Crawford and Harrison Counties. This Simple Truss structure was authorized by the Acts of 1847 and scheduled for constructed by Libbeus Frisbee, however, the structure was actually built by local builders in 1862. The Milltown Covered Bridge was listed as #14-13-01 for Crawford County in the World Guide (according to G. Gould's 1977 list); Gould did not list a World Guide number for the structure as it stood in Harrison County, but my guess is it would have been 01-31-03. Finally, Gould listed this structure as having been lost in between 1907-08 as well as 1959 the former probably being correct.
