The Jordan Creek Covered Bridge is no longer standing
it crossed Jordan Creek in Sections 13 and 18, Township 11 North,
Ranges 5 and 6 West, on or near the North Bowling Green Poland Road, which
is north of Bowling Green, Clay County. This single span Burr Arch Truss
structure had a length of 87 feet, or 105 feet including the 9-foot overhang
at each end, with a portal clearance 17 feet wide by 11 feet 6 inches high.
Muehler & Notter built the Jordan Creek Covered Bridge in 1871, near
the site of the first gristmill was built in Bowling Green, and the structure
was listed in the World Guide (according to G. Gould's 1977 list) as #14-11-03
and lost in 1959.
