THIRD STREET COVERED BRIDGE

The Third Street Covered Bridge is no longer standing … it crossed the Eel River, where Highway 17 now crosses, in Section 36, Township 27 North, Range 1 East, Logansport, Cass County. This structure had a length of 372 feet and was built by Willis & Graffis in 1846. The 2-lane Third Street Covered Bridge was listed as #14-09-07 in the World Guide (according to G. Gould's 1977 list) and lost in the 1888 flood.
