SIXTH STREET COVERED BRIDGE

The Sixth Street Covered Bridge is no longer standing … it crossed the Eel River, where Highway 25 now crosses, in Section 36, Township 27 North, Range 1 East, Logansport, Cass County. The double span Sixth Street Covered Bridge had a length of 228 feet and was built in about 1845. Listed as #14-09-04 in the World Guide (according to G. Gould's 1977 list), it was lost in 1867 due to damage from ice.
