The Adams Mill Covered Bridge, also known as the Carroll County Covered Bridge, crosses the North Fork of Wild Cat Creek at County Road 50 East, Section 34, Township 24 North, and Range 1 West, just west of Cutler in Bolivar, Carroll County. This single span Howe Truss structure (arches were added for support sometime after the initial construction) has a length of 138 feet, or 158 feet including the 10-foot overhang at each end, with a portal clearance 16 feet wide by 12 feet high. Erected on this site in 1872 by the Wheelock Bridge Company after having first being assembled at Toledo, the bridge derives its name from the Adams Mill, which is located just south. Of additional interest, the Adams Mill Covered Bridge utilizes unique wrought iron abutments that were patented by Wheelock. The Adams Mill Covered Bridge was listed in the 1972 World Guide as #14-08-01 and, though no historical marker is present, it was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1996 .
