Info.

I'm excited to have the first pictures of what I believe is Indiana's newest "Authentic" Covered Bridge! The single span Rodgers Covered Bridge crosses Branstetter Hollar on a private drive. Constructed by Ray "Sonny" Rodgers, this self-supporting, wooden arch truss structure was tested and has been rated to have a 6.5 ton capacity. It has a 20 foot ramp on the east end and the length of this new bridge is 56 feet, or 64 feet including the 4-foot gabled overhang at each end, with a portal width of 14 feet. Located .8 miles north of State Road 45, off Carmel Ridge Road, Sonny and Becky Rodgers are rightfully proud of this new addition on their property and I am in the process of determining how to proceed in obtaining the necessary documentation to have it included in the "World Guide to Covered Bridges," published by The National Society for the Preservation of Covered Bridges, Inc., as #14-07-03;  Because this structure sits on private property, no locator map is provided.
