The Salem Crossing Romantic Shelter, also known as Horatio's Crossing, is a modern covered bridge that crosses Fishback Creek on "Salem Road," off of State Road 334, at County Roads 700 South and 775 East, in Section 5, Township 17 North and Range 2 East, Boone County. This single span structure was built in 1972 utilizing a Stringer Truss, is 47 feet long, and is identified in the 1989 Romantic Shelters Supplement to the World Guide as 14-06-A .
