The Buena Vista Covered Bridge is no longer standing it crossed the Wabash River in Adams County and was located in Congressional Township 25 North, Range 13 East, and Sections 2 & 3. Accordingly, this would place the structure on he southeast edge of Linn Grove (earlier known as Buena Vista) on Reynolds Avenue, which is also known as West 700 South. Built in 1869 by Wheelock, McKay & Underhill, this Smith Truss structure was 165 feet long and cost (including abutments) $5,800. G. Gould notes that the Indiana Historical Society Library credits Jacob North and Abraham Ramsier as haven been the builders when in fact they were unsuccessful bidders on the project. There is no information on when this structure was lost and the common numerical identifier for it is 14-01-07. The red star on the small map above represents the approximate location of this structure.
