A Few Facts About Cass County
  • Cass County is divided into 14 Civil Townships as follows: Adams, Bethlehem, Boone, Clay, Clinton, Deer Creek, Eel, Harrison, Jackson, Jefferson, Miami, Noble, Tipton and Washington.
  • Cass County organization became effective April 13, 1829.
  • Logansport became the County Seat by the Legislative Act of December 18, 1828.
  • According to the Society of Indiana Pioneers, an individual was a pioneer of our county if they resided here on or before December 31, 1835.
  • Indiana automobile License Plates issued in Cass County start with the prefix 9 because it is the ninth county in alphabetical listing.
