This Postcard of the Georgetown Covered Bridge clearly shows that the structure consisted of 5 covered sections ... the approach ramps may of been of wood or steel and apparently account for the Georgetown Covered Bridge being listed as having 7-spans; the question for me still is were the ramps at each portal counted as part of the 1000-foot length or was each covered span 200-feet? A handwritten note on the back of the card states that the photo was taken after $2500.00 in repairs had been completed. -- Special thanks to Charles Dinsmore for providing this image from his personal collection!
