 ornelius Hurley came with his family from North Carolina to
Brown County, Indiana in 1830. Cornelius was born on March 4th, 1794 and he died
on February 6th, 1856. He is buried in the Mt. Zion Cemetery, along with many
of his family, including his son Ephraim, a veteran of the Mexican-American War,
and Ephraim's son, Cornelius, a veteran of the Civil War (Company C, 6th Regiment,
Indiana) who was born in 1843 and died in 1928. |
