Registration & Membership Information

This project will always be a work in progress and, depending on the particular county, different amounts of information will have been made available. For example, Delaware County has a complete edited reproduction of the A.W. Bowen Biographical as well as an in-progress reproduction of the F. D. Haimbaugh Biographical ... the difference, the Haimbaugh still has many biographies with the word "pending" instead of the full text ... information is being added all the time throughout the 92 counties so the speed that new information will be available varies. Another example, still in Delaware County, is that the Land Patents document is ready and Patentees are being entered regularly while some counties only have the maps ... as time and resources are made available, all counties will eventually have the interactive maps as well as Patentee data.

The County History Preservation Society was started to help meet the expenses for this project  through Membership Dues. Members are then registered and given access to the Enhanced Features of this site for ALL counties!

The "Images of Our Past" section is included in the majority of the counties. The number of images varies depending on what is available ... The thumbnails are visible to everyone while the larger images are only accessible by Members / Registered Users.

Any Biography that has a related photo or image has a small version of that image in the actual biography ... this small image, similar to the "Images of Our Past" section, is visible to everyone while the larger images are only accessible by Members / Registered Users.

Finally, the "Search Feature" is only accessible by Members / Registered Users. For more information about the benefits and usage of this feature visit the Explanation of Search Feature topic.

How Do I Become a Member?

Listed in the menu bar on any of the project features you will find the selection "Membership Information" ... click on this link and follow the directions. At the conclusion of your successful transaction with PayPal (credit card  or e-check payment), a USER and PASSWORD are provided which will allow you access to all protected information for all 92 counties for the duration of your membership. How Do I Logon?

The protected documents are designed in such a way that (depending on your Internet browser) you need only attempt to access a protected feature to cause a dialogue box to open. After you fill in the USER and PASSWORD, select OK and you will have continuous access to ALL protected information during your current session on the Internet. If you disconnect from the Internet, you will be asked again for your USER and PASSWORD when you try to access a protected file. Your USER and PASSWORD are case sensitive, in other words, you must enter them in either all upper or all lower case letters ... you cannot capitalize the first letter and not the rest, etc.
